Trying to create this staff in NF (possible?)
Ok, I really want to create this Monk Staff for my prophecies character who recently migrated to Nightfall, but I am having a tough time with it. According to my PVP only character, such a weapon is possible. Here is a picture of the materials I need.
http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/2518/gw004wq0.jpg The problem is finding a staff that allows inscriptions. I have a holy staff but I cannot put inscriptions on because it was from prophecies. This staff would be great because 4 of my main heals are healing spells. Here is what the staff looks like when done. http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/5396/gw005os3.jpg The staff I have now is kinda the same, problem is that it favours divine favour. The point requirement is no problem, but it's benefits don't really suit me as you can see here. http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/2057/gw002hv2.jpg I can easily rip out the energy +5 no problem and I'm if I'm lucky, the skill recharge mod too. I have not come across any collectors that can make the staff for me yet. Any help would be appreciated. |

don't need inscriptions to build a similar weapon. The collector outside Port Sledge makes it with 5 Intricate Grawl Necklaces and then you throw a +5 Energy staff head and a +30HP Fortitude wrapping on it. I use them for my Monk Heros. The same staff I've seen on similar collectors in Factions, but I don't remember where.

Also, that staff looks just like the thing I need. Is there any way to "make" it or am I stuck to having to farm/buy it? |

That is also the stats of the forgotten staff green availalbe when you beat the game. So if you beat NF you can get one.
But yes, there are collectors or even crafters which will have similar stats, but they will be sold blank. You will have to find a hale and hearty inscription (which is pretty common actually, just try all the free buried treasures), as well as the grip and the staff head. |

Umm no. Staff of the Forgotten does not have the Halves Casting Time of Healing Prayers spells. Instead, it has +5 energy. You currently have two solutions:
1) Farm/buy Hahan's Oath. 2) Get a Holy Branch from either Bolereh, Rahmdah, or Sende. Add a Hale and Hearty inscription to this. Add an Adept staff head to this. Add a Staff Wrapping of Fortitude to this. ***By the way, with the above option, your staff will look like this: 11-22 req9 energy+10 energy+5^50 HCT 20 HSR 20 hp+30 but, you can make it like this: 11-22 req9 energy+10 energy+5 HCT 20 HSR 20 hp+30 This means you will always have +15 energy no matter what hp. With this setup, you'll need: Insightful Staff Head Aptitude not Attitude Inscription Staff Wrapping of Fortitude instead of Adept Staff Head Hale and Hearty Inscription Staff Wrapping of Fortitude Again, the Staff of the Forgotten does not have the stats you want. Get a Holy Branch from one of the above-mentioned people and modify it with one of the two choices above (the top is better becuz it is non-conditional) This is all the information you'll need. ~Polynikes |

O.o
so what... (^^) You can also just craft a healing staff and put the mods on yourself. Healing req staves aren't a really frequent drop, best I've gotten recently was a req 11. |

Have a look at this link to help you decide what collectors item to farm for:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Monk_collector_weapons Useful for any profession and especially for heroes, makes outfitting them a piece of cake. For 20/20 Healing you will need: in Prophecies: 5 Intricate Grawl Necklaces In Factions: 5 Soul Stones, or 5 Naga Skins, or 5 Mantis Pincers Oddly no collectors weapons in NF have similar stats (unless they're just not listed on that wiki). |
